Erica Powell has just passed her first-year anniversary at the City of Palm Desert. She oversees the Public Art program and is the liaison to the Cultural Arts Committee.

Erica has a Bachelor of Music from Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York where she also studied Arts Leadership and Business Management. Her career includes working in marketing for EMI Classics/Virgin Classics/Blue Note Jazz/Angel Records in New York City and ONE North East Regional Development Agency in Northeast England. For over twenty years, Erica has played the harp professionally and continues to occasionally perform throughout Southern California.
