We want to hear from you!
The City of Palm Desert is kicking off a Neighborhood Mobility Strategies Study for the Portola Avenue area. There are several opportunities to participate, including an in-person and virtual community meeting and an interactive map where you can post your comments.
Portola Avenue connects residential communities to Highway 111 to the north and Living Desert Zoo and Gardens to the south. The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens host popular events, such as Glow in the Park and WildLights, bringing more visitors and increased traffic to local neighborhood roads. The City of Palm Desert is looking for your feedback to better understand mobility in this area. This project aims to develop a suite of traffic strategies to address mobility while continuing to welcome visitors to the Living Desert. Based on your feedback and data collection, the project team will develop a study that identifies potential improvements in this area.
Participate
On March 19, 2025, the City of Palm Desert held a community workshop at City Hall to engage with residents and gather feedback on key community priorities. Participants joined both in person and virtually via Zoom to share their thoughts and learn more about ongoing initiatives.
